Happy day, Earth!
Until you’re about the age of twenty, you read everything, and you like it simply because you are reading it. Then between twenty and thirty you pick what you want, and you read the best, you read all the great works. After that you sit and wait for them to be written. But you know, the least known, the least famous writers, they are the better ones.
Where would we be right now if the tobacco industry got to decide what scientific studies were done on that topic? As of now, the only studies on GMOs have been conducted by people with direct involvement with Monsanto or other corporations who manufacture and profit directly from them. So we have all these potential health concerns: Tumors and cancer; liver, kidney and bone marrow problems; new allergens, new toxins created through the genetic engineering process. And yet, no one is allowed to confirm or deny the risks.
